Dermal Fillers

  • overview

Dermal Filler Treatments

Dermal Fillers must be administered by a qualified Doctor. It is a simple procedure, and does not usually require time off work. At the Cove, you will find only the safest and most effective FDA approved products and procedures.

This includes the most depended on and proven Dermal Fillers on the market today: Juvederm and Restylane. For more information on both please visit their respective official UK websites by clicking on: Juverderm or Restylane.

What does a Dermal Filler procedure involve?

Our consultant ENT Surgeon will have an initial complimentary consultation with you. Once you have understood the treatment plan, the procedure itself will be carried out within the Spa, with soothing, atmospheric music, scents and aromas that remind you of distance lands and warm colours and décor.
A dermal filler is a substance which is injected into the skin to plump it up, make it firmer and smooth out lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers are injected, usually without the need for local anaesthetic, into lines and wrinkles to plump them out. The dermal filler then remains in the skin, where it binds water to produce a lift and give firmness to the treated area. A dermal filler treatment usually take around 30 minutes. For lip enhancement, a local anaesthetic injection is usually given to remove any discomfort. It will be an experience in itself and you will be in safe hands.

Who is a Dermal Filler suitable for?

Cosmetic Dermal Fillers work to erase not only fine lines, but also deeper wrinkles and folds of the face and forehead. In addition, they also create plumper, smoother and more youthful looking lips in just minutes. For a fuller list of what Dermal Fillers are used for, please see below:
  • Acne scars
  • Depressions or pockmarks in the skin due to injury or disease, for example, chickenpox marks
  • Unevenness in the skin after surgery or skin grafting
  • Deep 'smile lines' which run from the side of the nose to the corners of the mouth
  • 'Crows feet' at the corner of the eyes
  • 'Frown lines' between the eyebrows
  • Smokers lines' which are vertical lines on the top lip
  • Marionette lines' at the corner of the mouth
  • 'Worry lines' which run across the forehead
  • The definition of the lip border
  • Other facial lines.
In some people wanting treatment of deep facial lines, Wrinkle Relaxation may be required, followed by 'fine tuning', using dermal fillers.

How long with the Dermal Fillers last?

Typically, the results of dermal fillers can last six to nine months but this varies from one person to another. The filler is gradually broken down and absorbed by the body, so the lines, wrinkles or lips will ultimately return to their previous appearance without top up treatments.
